She started in residential sales in 1976 and then became a broker in 1986 managing the residential office then the entire division followed by the commercial side. Linda and her brother bought the company from their parents in 1999, then joined and merged with the Schmidt Family of Companies in 2019. Today, Linda, her daughter Melanie and son Andrew unfailingly fulfill their family's tradition with each of their unique skill sets along with hard work, determination and professional representation while treating their clients like family.

Linda is a strong community supporter and believes in giving back while being active with numerous organizations. She is the past President of the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce for three different terms and a board member for 20+ years, a former President of the Realtors Association of Indian River with the distinct honor of being a past Realtor of the Year and she has been on the Board of Indian River County Economic Development Council for over 20 years. ANDREW GONZALEZ: Andrew grew up in Vero Beach. It has been his passion to follow in the foot-steps of his Mother, Linda-Schlitt Gonzalez, and his Grandparents, Ed and Marguerite Schlitt, founders of Coldwell Banker Ed Schlitt REALTORS. Upon graduating from the University of Central Florida, Andrew moved back to Vero Beach to assist Coldwell Banker Ed Schlitt REALTORS. Growing up in the business, the world of real estate is second nature to him. Gonzalez realized that, in the 21st Centu ry, the use of technology would dominate daily interaction in the real estate industry. During his youth, Andrew took every opportunity to learn about hi-tech advances that he knew would provide him a cutting edge in the real estate market. Melanie was born and raised in Vero Beach. After graduation from Vero Beach High School where she enjoyed la crosse and volleyball as extra curricular activities she attended the University of Central Florida and obtained a marketing degree.
